CHA Street Food (Tysons Corner Mall)
About This Spot
Stepping into CHA Street Food at Tysons Corner Mall is like discovering a pocket of vibrant warmth tucked amidst the mall’s busy rhythm. The space hums with a lively yet intimate energy, where aromas of freshly brewed chai and the subtle spice notes of South Asian street fare mingle in the air. It’s a welcoming refuge for those seeking a familiar, comforting pause—a place where the pace feels just right for sharing stories over small bites and soul-soothing tea.
The restaurant carries a cozy, bustling charm that invites both community gatherings and quiet moments. The buzz around tables often revolves around the ritual of chai, in its many forms—from the fragrant masala chai to the nut-enriched Kashmiri chai—each cup steeped with warmth and tradition. This attention to detail in the drinks mirrors the love poured into their food, where the playful twist on classic street eats—a spiced burger here, a crispy samosa chaat there—invokes a sense of joyous exploration without overwhelming the senses.
Part of the experience here lies in the shared plates, encouraging a sense of togetherness as friends and strangers alike dig into golden, spiced fries or a perfectly crisp bun samosa. The menu suggests a fusion mindset, comfortably bridging flavors from India, Pakistan, and the Middle East in a way that feels both authentic and uplifting. There’s an ease to dining here, where the warmth of the staff and the thoughtful presentation make every visit feel like a small celebration of familiar comfort and discovery.
In essence, CHA Street Food is less about rushing through a meal and more about savoring the moments—the conversation sparked by a unique milkshake or the comfortable clatter of dishes shared among people who come hungry for more than just food. It’s a place that gently brings a slice of home to Tysons, wrapped in the lively spirit of street food culture and the calm pleasure of a well-steeped cup of chai.

This place was awesome! Went for the "high tea" which is $45 and serves two people. It came with a ton of food and everything was delicious! You get to choose which kind of chai you want with it, house, masala, or kashmiri. We went with house. The decor and vibe is nice. I would definitely go back!

This spot has become a go-to hangout for the South Asian community in the DMV, especially for those craving a familiar vibe. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, though it can feel a bit congested during busy hours. Their tea selection is definitely a highlight. I really enjoyed the masala tea and the house tea. If you prefer a richer, creamier option with nuts, the Kashmiri chai might be your favorite. The food overall is tasty—however, I wasn’t a fan of the laccha burger. The patty is served between two small laccha parathas, which felt too oily and didn’t seem worth it portion-wise. On the other hand, the wraps and sandwiches are filling enough for a full dinner, and the hot chaat is an absolute treat—definitely a must-try. Overall, I’d recommend this place for its teas, snacks, and cozy hangout atmosphere.

My friend and I ordered the high tea deal and I would recommend you go hungry. You can either get a veg or non-veg option. We opted for non veg and chose the Kashmiri chai. The fries and samosa are really good. I enjoyed the tea as well. The dessert tasted average.
